Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading a team comprising internal colleagues and external specialist subcontractors.
  • Overseeing the execution of highway and structures projects within the Worcestershire County Council framework.
  • Exercising full ownership of projects, demonstrating unwavering commitment and a relentless drive for success.
  • Managing site staff performance to achieve project goals and enhance productivity.
  • Providing health and safety leadership to operational delivery teams, promoting behavioral safety improvements.
  • Compliance with relevant HSE legislation.
  • Ensuring the full discharge of policies and procedures within the Business Management System.
  • Securing sufficient and competent resources for project delivery while effectively communicating project objectives.
  • Developing and maintaining programs throughout the project life cycle, ensuring adherence to the contract program.
  • Spearheading the project risk management process and establishing effective controls for project delivery.
  • Identifying and realizing project opportunities to enhance commercial performance.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • HNC/HND qualification.
  • Desirable experience in NEC Contract management.
  • Essential experience in structures.
  • Commercial acumen and strong communication skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities and extensive IT proficiency.
