As the Project Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee the delivery of specified contracts within set timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You'll lead and evaluate project staff and subcontractors, collaborating with various teams such as commercial, health and safety, design, finance, procurement, and estimating to ensure successful project completion.
 
Our client, a leading principal contractor specializing in cladding remediation for over two decades, focuses on delivering high-quality, multimillion-pound cladding repatriations and regeneration contracts in London and the Southeast.


Role Responsibilities:
  • Develop, manage, and monitor project plans and budgets in collaboration with Commercial, Design & Quality, and Health & Safety departments.
  • Supervise block/assistant/site managers and ensure efficient management of specified projects and site-based staff.
  • Support, coach, and train staff within your purview.
  • Monitor and assess assistant management and staff performance through objectives and action plans.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key client staff, stakeholders, funders, and third parties.
  • Take full ownership of project management within your domain.
  • Understand project scope and assist in the procurement process and resource management.
  • Contribute to the strategic plan and program development, communicating requirements to staff.
  • Coordinate labour and material requirements between site teams, ensuring efficient resource use.
  • Possess all relevant information to control project delivery and communicate it as necessary.
  • Maintain quality standards, communicate program and contract requirements to teams and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, regulation, and company policies through accurate record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with commercial and Health & Safety departments to manage subcontractors, orders, budgets, and costs.
  • Work with ISO and Design & Quality departments to ensure comprehensive service and product delivery management.
  • Take overall ownership of site QCQA records for the site team.
Job Description:
  • Collaborate with resident liaison and customer service personnel to address and resolve residents' issues.
  • Address contractor and subcontractor issues appropriately.
  • Schedule and attend site and management meetings as required.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, health and safety legislation, and company processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Technical qualifications/experience in construction-related disciplines (HNC or equivalent).
  • CSCS card, SMSTS, asbestos awareness, scaffold inspection, and first aid certificates.
  • EWI/cladding experience.
  • Proficient in project management, including GANTT charts and critical path analysis.
  • CRB checked as required for specific projects.
  • Advanced user of MS Excel, competent user of MS Word, MS Project, Microsoft Outlook email, and calendars.
