Overview:

 
You will lead and oversee individual crews, ensuring the flawless execution of site construction that aligns precisely with client specifications while upholding the highest standards of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ).
 
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive site meetings, delivering clear instructions to crews on daily tasks while identifying potential hazards and site-specific issues.
  • Ensure precise and timely completion of all pertinent site documentation and client paperwork.
  • Oversee proper site cordoning and strictly adhere to safety protocols.
  • Rigorously adhere to all relevant client procedures.
  • Establish effective communication with Client personnel to guarantee works align with correct procedures.
  • Maintain a well-equipped first aid kit on-site and ensure the van is equipped with a fire extinguisher.
  • Record and report all accidents and near misses, promptly submitting them to the Project Manager and H&S Manager.
  • Thoroughly inspect materials for compliance with specifications, promptly reporting any faults.
  • Ensure crew compliance with PPE, safety equipment, tool usage, and safe working practices.
  • Maintain an updated Health and Safety Plan on-site at all times, conducting risk assessments and method statements as needed.
  • Ensure all relevant H&S paperwork is on-site and available for audit.
  • Report any damage to company vehicles, tools, or equipment to the Plant Manager.
  • Implement SHEQ systems on all sites on a day-to-day basis.
  • Monitor and ensure the implementation of the Company’s Safety Statement and relevant legislative regulations.
  • Promptly escalate any breaches of H&S beyond the Crew Leader's remit to the Project Manager.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Possession of all relevant Health and Safety accreditations and certifications (including Safe Pass, ESBN, etc)
  • Current ESB HV PICW Authorisations
  • NTW-PI20 PICW on 38kV Overhead Network
  • NTW-PI30 PICW on 110kV Overhead Networks
  • NTW-PI35 PICW on 220kV Overhead Networks
  • NTW-PI40 PICW on 400kV Overhead Networks
  • Full Driver's Licence
  • Proven experience in managing teams in a fast-paced and process-driven environment
  • IT proficiency, including MS Office
